main bearing replacement

I am attempting to replace the main bearings on my 1941 120. I loosened the bolts on all 5 mains the 1/2" recommended, However the crank does not want to drop.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advanace

The crank will not drop, but loosening the main caps will allow you to roll the top half of the main bearings out and roll in their replacements.
