Richard Nixon's Packard 1603 Sedan up for sale in the UK.

A right hand drive model exported to England for his use when he was US Ambassador.....

If I had the space, I'd be tempted

Thanks Guscha

interesting fact, and I should have known it, that Richard Nicxon wasn't abassador to the UK!

As noted, if anyone it would have been Joe Kennedy's car.

The previous auction ended in a no-sale at ?15,000 - doesn't look like it will sell again this time.

There's another, much nicer 1920 Super 8 on ebay up for ?27,500

ebay.co.uk/itm/1928-PACKARD-SUPER-EIGHT- ... =Automobiles_UK&hash=item2c650c54c9

Now this one I really would like to have as it would be a nice sister car to my 1930 Phaeton. Sadly there are 27,500 reasons wht I can't have it at the moment.

Ken (kts68), I don't think so. In the timeframe of 70 years considerably more than 100 U.S. embassies around the world accommodated more than 1,000 ambassadors. Who should know all the names? First and foremost the vendor is in charge to verfy his offer.

BTW Not even Richard Nixon always knew where he stood.

A Packard in front of the Soviet embassy. Never let it be said that Russians have a poor taste in cars.
