Nice show yesterday in Morristown, NJ. With the '34 up on blocks awaiting its first set of new tires in 26+ years and the weather not so nice, I kept the Caribbean home and rode down in a delightfully original 1938 Eight sedan (1601) and back home in an equally lovely 23rd Series Eight sedan.

Lots of nice cars, some of those of particular interest to me below, hope you likewise find them worthy selections.

1910 Packard Model 18
1939 Chrysler Royal (mostly original car)
1935 LaSalle, a riot of art deco details
1933 Pierce Arrow 8 brougham, long-time Charlie Eggert car
Dodge Royal Lancer with D-500 option
1917 Haynes, unrestored
1911 Staver (made in Chicago for a few short years)
Pope-Hartford (Herb Singe collection)
Golden Hawk, AACA Senior winner & impeccable
1933 Pierce Arrow brougham interior

So the old Automatic Switch Florham Park location (Darrin's brother's company) is no more.

I remember that Pierce Arrow. A guy named Ricky redid the cowl moldings that were fabricated out of body putty. He tack welded metal into the holes and finished the contours with lead and a file. We also did motor work on it. It didn't have much of an interior, only seats. It still looks great. I don't know if the metallic paint is authentic, but at least the thing isn't pimped out like the typical CCCA style blastoration.
