1936 and 1937 120's Are what we like best. But we also like all other Packards too.

Possibly it's only an hour from my house but after buying a 1936 997 last week I have no money lol. I think they would be over my budget. Be good entertainment.

The 1940 is definately an eight cylinder based on the number of hood louvers and, of course, counting the cylinders. I see five spark plugs with room for another "pair" and a single one at the back as there is at the front.

What made you believe it wasn't PackardDon? It clearly states it's a "120".

The one that always throws me off is the 39 super 8's. The interior is too much like the junior line. From 39 on the lines between the junior & senior lines gets too blurry.

The original poster (Don 37) said in the second post that he thought it was a 110.

Hi BDC

"The one that always throws me off is the 39 super 8's. The interior is too much like a junior the junior line. From 39 on the lines between the junior & senior lines gets too blurry."

Apparently the general public had the same problem back in the day, came to think of every Packard unless it was obviously a limousine were generally all the same.

The danger of not clearly differentiating one's products lines so the public can easily perceive it can lead to demise....

On the '39, what is that on the dashboard left of the clock? Is that a switch to something? Is that to raise and lower the top?

1940 120 $60k
1939 super 8 $22.5k
1932 boattail $46k
1938 V12 $146k
1916 V12 $153k

These prices are without the 10% premium

Interesting detail on the boattail: it was sold as a limousine at "Leonard Williams" which was the Packard dealer in London but it was a Detroit built car not a Canadian built car!
