Accelerator spring support question please

I have duplicated the 9.140 secondary spring support nicely but should it be natural, black or engine color? It appears to be smooth without any reinforcing channels but can someone confirm that. Also, where does the spring attach to the linkage -- thru the hole at end of clevis pin or somewhere else. The clevis is tight on the arm and there doesn't appear to be any provision elsewhere in the arm. As is typical, the manual is a bit less than helpful.

The support finish is natural metal, possibly cad plated and it is flat with no reinforcing channels.
The spring attaches to the hole in the end of the clevis pin.

Just from memory the upper spring eye does indeed go thru the hole in the clevis pin and the finish on the bracket was either natural (as stamped) or more likely cadmium plated. I have access to one of those brackets, if no one else responds I'll take a look and see if it has any embossed ribs for rigidity but as I recall it did not.
