WEll I have spent too much time trying to get the photo of this tiny plug on here and I'm done. Picture a tine pellet. That is what it looked like.

Good Morning Brenda...How Cool! You have put a great deal of effort into your Packard and it is obvious that you love her. Now you can drive her and enjoy her and allow her to be admired by everyone.
When my grand daughter and I go breakfast with Miss Princess, Tara will patiently answer questions and it is fun for me to just stand to one side and let her talk about the car. I am usually surprised at how much information she as absorbed about a 1949 Packard. They truly are a joy to drive and share...Ernie

If memory serves, believe from 55 to maybe 60 Mercedes used a Borg Warner trans -- essentially the same trans some Ford and AMC products were using. The clutch plates on those will fit the Ultra but not sure about anything else -- maybe bands -- but I'd be surprised if any major hard parts will fit.
