I'd like to buy one that's been rebuilt. Otherwise I'd like to identify rebuilding services and sources of rebuildable units. Part number 436831.

Good aftertnoon...You might PM Ross Miller and ask his advice. He might do the work or he might suggest someone to do the work. Ernie in Arizona

You're talking about the gentleman at Speedwell Garage? I searched Ross Miller and found this. He is out until some time in March.

What is wrong with yours, and what is the ratio? Or at least, which trans did your car come with?

1951 200 Ultramatic 3.54 to 1. I replaced the axle bearings and seals. Rear end is noisy.

It has been at the transmission shop for 10 months. The transmission has been rebuilt but the differential carrier assembly hasn't been touched. To try to make some progress I'd prefer to buy a rebuilt differential carrier assembly and just put it in.

I may even get one and try to rebuild it myself.
