Found in a crawlspace. Look familiar?

A Chicago area home inspector posted these photos of objects found in a crawlspace under an early 50's house. He says it looks like they'd built the house around them because they'll have to take a torch or sawzall to them to get them out of there.

Look familiar to folks here?

Car parts don't look familiar but one wonders it someone was hiding the evidence of an early chop shop or worse. Could be a car version of Gibb's boat in the basement project -- without the basement.

Does give credence to the old stories about the Chicago way of life though. If the house was built around it, wonder how much the building inspector charged to overlook minor things like that.

Is that fire damage I see, or primer spots? That's really weird either way. I like the chop shop idea.... They hid em there instead of destroying them, but then got busted anyway and the fenders were forgotten. Any loose floor boards??
