Are there any upolstry kits out there that fits the 1948 seats? I've been looking around and haven't been able to find anything

i believe there were at least 3 different types in the closed cars.
Tritone fine houndstooth in the Eight - not reproduced as best I know. There are some larger grain houndstooths repro'd. Striped broadcloth in the Eight DeLuxe and Super Eight - might be able to get close (cloth, not kit) from the usual suspects Shadow cloth in Custom Eight - no longer reproduced, I believe.

Check out Hirsch Autohirschauto.com and LeBaron-Bonneylebaronbonney.com Both have reproduction material which may or may not be good matches for your particular model. They may be in the realm of what is there in the stripes you like.
SMSsmsautofabrics.com has some NOS fabric and also does some repros You will most likely have to send them a sample of what you are looking for and they will send you back samples of what they have in something close. All deal only in quality material such as the old wool broadcloths and none are cheap. Probably nowhere close to what most modern material prices would be. You would have to have your own upholstery shop make the covers.
