I know this is an I8 but I do have V8 valve seats in my basement. I can see who made them, and the specification.

I’ve had quite a few valve seats replaced which was always done by the shop working on the engine machining which was usually a Napa store’s machine shop. It’s not something I would ever considering trying myself and they’ve never had trouble finding an appropriate seat!

Thanks, that means they are a generic or standard seat used across brands. I know SBC seats guides & Valves fit into a Dodge sidevalve I rebuilt a few years ago , But I had the specs to cross referance prior. Good to know before I pull a seat . They are very easy to replace , but having the correct size is crucial, thinking again probably not such a problem with a dropped seat in a sidevalve though.
