lower A arm inner bushing removal?

The post
packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=25151 goes into some detail about installing the new bushings but says nothing about removal of the old ones. Any tips on removal that avoids spreading the arm past the specified 11 1/2 inch would be much appreciated.

Thought I had pictures of my chain wrapped around A arm
Pretty sure i used a puller But air hammer next time. Also some come with a step . So you can't press it in to far
