Custom Tail lights?

Never seen a 55 clipper with one reverse light, no evidence of body work...hmmmmm. Any ideas?

Why does it have deluxe badging instead of custom? Its a 5562....

Perhaps they used a quarter panel off of a '54 Clipper as they used the same taillights without the reverse light.

There is no evidence of body work tht i can see what so ever..

JT, why do you think it is a Custom 5562 instead of a Deluxe 5542? How can you tell from the photos? The reason I ask is that I am somewhat new to the V-8s and would appreciate any information on how to accurately identify the different models. Thanks.

Drivers door pillar between hinges and on the engine next to oil filler tube is the Vehicle Number. First 4our digits indicate year and model.
