Front motor mount replacement

Please forgive my asking this question. I have replacement front motor mounts for my 352 V8 and am having trouble finding the way to proceed. They look, at first inspection, very difficult to remove (many obstacles blocking access). Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated.

Replace the V8 motor mounts ONE SIDE at a time. AS Owen indicates u wil have to jack the engine up alittle bit to get the new one in. Mite have to loosen the exhaust brackets all the way back to the mufflers a little bit. IIRC the transmission oil lines cause some interference but just remove bolt from bracket and carefully force the lines one way or the other to get clearence.
IT's mostly just alot of aggrevation at jockying the mounts in and out around the obstacles especialy the rite (passenger) side..

Be sure to disconnect battery cable at battery. I would start with the left side first. But loosen (do not remove) the bolts in the rite side too. That will allow the engine to tilt a little easier toward the rite side of the car as the left mount is changed. Jack the engine favouring the left side of the car when changinf left mount and jack it favouring rite side of car when changing rite mount.

Only source of brand-new front V8 mounts I know of is Kanters; they had them remanufactured perhaps 5 years ago. Quality was excellent, indistinguishable from the originals.

Mite want to remove distributor cap and rotor. Open hood or propped open a little bit. The front most motor mount bolts remove from leaning over the grill.

Keep a block of wood wedged between engine and frame or crossmember or something as a saftey precaution.
