At least you got yours before it wound up in the shape of one Ross posted a few years back. That one had nothing remaining but a few short pieces -- and those were filled with crud. I think I remember Flackmaster posting he had some brass tubes for the sixes but don't remember if he had a large supply or not. I am still curious if the steel tubes were something made during the war because of brass shortages or if they were just something made aftermarket for cheap.

HH56, I don't recall the photos of the one Ross removed but here's a photo of one I removed a few years ago from a 1938 Eight, the worst I've encountered. It was steel, perhaps a Dorman NORS tube and it was quite a challenge just getting this much removed.

Good luck finding a replacement! I had a hard time finding one. I ended up finding one from a private party. The tube in my 115c was also steel, this is all that was left when I got it out.

Fred, I guess I should have started this project last fall up here, My daughter in law is from Wangeretta and they visited home for christmas,,, That would have taken care of shipping costs
