My neon sign repair guy has this Packard Clock for sale. The Clock is housed in a metal box. He replaced the clock motor and fixed the neon. The Clock face is definately original, but I think he used a Packard decal, not sure. The reason I don't think its original is because it says Packard Motor Corporation, not PMCC. Any thoughts? It is very cool, but he wants $500 for it, not sure its worth that much.

I think you have spotted it as a not authentic repro.
I'd pass.

Agree that it is NOT authentic. Packard would not have used the modern abbreviation for Michigan, i.e., MI. They would have used Mich.

Additionally, Packard was a Company, NOT a Corp.

IMHO it is a reproduction or a contrived face on an old clock.

Thanks all for confirming my suspicion. Nice catch Roger on the State abbreviation, didn't think of it until you pointed it out.
