I have this engine and transmission ready to test run after a very complete rebuild. I do not know what the transmission calls for as a proper lubricant. I am not OK with a guess, I would like to see it in writing in a Packard Shop Manual. So far, I don't know where to look. I have a Gray Marine manual, but that is a different transmission. Anyone have a connection to a printed reference? I have a copy of the Packard Marine Engine specification and engineering data, but no information in it regrading what lubrication product types to use.
Call the Packard Museum in Warren, OH. They have some marine engines, documents, and restore so they can probably set you right or put you in touch with someone. PAC is another source.
