In case originality matters to you, your pump shouldn't have a barbed fitting with a hose clamp. Instead, the hose should have the fittings crimped on.

If gas is getting into the oil because of a split diaphragm, you can do a quick check by using the oil dip stick to see if
1. if your oil smells of gas 2. if the oil is thinner (less viscous) than normal 3. the level of oil is higher than the full mark I personally would not attempt rebuilding a fuel pump. Parts are under a lot of pressure, etc. Many others may find it an easy job, but I have step by step instructions and after looking them over, shipped mine back in exchange to Kanter, who guarantees their fuel pumps.

The rectangular opening in the last 2 photos is the vent that was mentioned by Owen Dyneto in post #9 and a leak form there indicates that the fuel diaphragm is ruptured.
A rebuild is in order.
