i would think as a general consideration to fellow members, it's a good idea to keep the same name across the board. but usually if you think your clever, someone else has already beat you to it. hence keith's partial problem with the packardV8 moniker.
now maybe you should consider slight vulgarities disguised as a name. those are always fun! example: MikeRotch, RichardHedd, WillieFisturbut, or even the daring MikeHunt. no matter what you choose, your screen name is important. i know i'm not the only one who does it but sometimes i only read posts by certain people. frequently i'll only read eric's posts because they're the true gospel (click, click). and ignore craig's posts of pagan type ramblings (bang). in either situation i Always ignore mal's due to the fact he's in some imaginary competition to see how many he can get to sign the registry. haha just messin...except about eric. peas.

Handles are often used across many different lines of communication. I've used the PAckardV8 handle even on laundry appliances so i can identify them if they come back. Some people without computers know me by that or sometimes just Pack.
Using real name is not a good idea especialy for people like me that always try to keep a low profile.

MTpackard51.
If u are trying to come up with a new name then think in terms of rudimetary, degenerate or non sequitur names. For example: When AACA wouldn't let me REregister as PAckardV8 i actualy registered as "Unregistered User PackardV8", a degenerate posting condition. They didn't like that. Some people use childhood nicknames or variations. ergo my RenegadeV8 handle at AACA (perhaps 1 thru 7 are now extinct). To the best of my knowledge there is only one other RenegadeV8 out there in cyberspace so it seems to be fairly safe to use. Apparently no one wants to use Renegade in their name. Renny another possibility for me. Owen Dyneto has one of the best names. Rather ecclectic and obscure. Looks like a real name but only questioned by those that may have knowledge of automotive electrics. So it is fairly safe for low profile. And kind of catchy sounding with a good ring to it to. Those same lines of reasoning are often used in lyrics. Here's one for u: What do u call a has been rock lyricist relegated to rap, country and hip-hop????? (it's kind of an old joke).
