If you know the history of the vehicle from way back, you could rule out the possibility of the car being "upgraded" from a 120. Many of the convertibles have been changed, so if the car is new to you, you might want to investigate. One of the quickest ways to tell is by the vent windows. The 160s would be the crank out type, while a 120 would be a push-out type. There are other differences, too, but that is usually the one that never gets changed.

If it is a 120, then I think the horn (two on a 120???)and mounting location is different. Perhaps Oztateman could help you.

She's a 160 alright--been in the same family since new but worked on by (apparently) MANY mechanics. And probably had parts switched around from other Packards in the family fleet.

That's good to hear.
Perhaps it is a very early 1941, and the horn bracket was mounted on the engine, as in 1940. It would then probably only have two horns, though.
What is your delivery date, or is it not stamped on the plaque?
