If in doubt, copy the 56th Series Supplement pages from the Rear Axle section of the factory service manual and provide it to your shop.

In addition to step-by-step instructions, it contains one very important caveat for replacing those axle bearings - though that should be common knowledge among any mechanic worth their salt.
