Try using a straight pin to pop the bubbles.. (very gently push the pin in) then smooth it over. I've used that trick on other foil decals.

Randy, Somehow I don't think we were quite on the same subject.........but my mind is usually in the gutter so maybe correcting a former choice of words was wise.

well its been a long time coming, but the motor is back in!
wasn't that hard actually, but i was a bit causcious with all that weight. i put the trans mount on backwards the first time and had to pick it back up to switch it around. not a problem. the weight from the motor didn't really push down on the front suspension, which i found weird, but maybe it needs more then that to push down. idk. heres to hoping everything works when i fire it up and put it into drive the first time. i really hope so. yeah, i hope it starts right up, but i doubt it will be running in time for Salado this year. i don't have a the starter, generator, or distributer anywhere near done. not to mention the revulconizing of the harmonic balancer.
this year it'll probably be just a display. i did finally get my stainless in the mail. the washers i had made are a bit bigger then the originals, but i like them. they are girthy and look awesome. i put some lock washers under the nuts to push the nut out a bit on the study for looks, i know it wasn't there originally. i may take it back off. i forgot to put washers infront of the lock washer on the timing cover when i put it on, but it doesn't seem to be hurting anything, so i doubt i'll take the water pump and stuff back off just to do that. unless someone can give me a good reason why i should. the header bolts are awesome too and will look better then manifold once it starts to weather in again some day. in the picture with the circular gaskets, the bigger one is for the distributer, but i can't figure out what the smaller one is for. its not in the kit from best gaskets. also the bigger cooper washer is not in their kit. the box i got from Max was labeled 56 senior, so i wonder if those are year/model specific. also the fuel filter i bought doesn't seem to fit right. it rattle around in the glass bowl. you can see the gap at the top where it doesn't seat against the new seal. the new seal also looks different then the old one. JW did you have this trouble? is there something that goes in before the filter to shim it up to the seal? thanks for following. enjoy Hank Attach file: (74.43 KB) (65.00 KB) (82.98 KB) (56.82 KB) (68.22 KB) (98.33 KB) (60.47 KB) (69.77 KB) (80.57 KB) (67.56 KB) (80.64 KB) (67.44 KB) (73.87 KB) (62.34 KB) (74.62 KB) (67.91 KB) (59.81 KB) (79.60 KB) (72.12 KB) (59.17 KB) (79.85 KB) (107.27 KB) (106.54 KB) (35.71 KB) (29.41 KB) (90.16 KB)
