Isn't the Carib interior really for a clipper? Still cheap at 18$, but....

Uhhh. Nope. Neither the interior nor the hubcap shown came from a Caribbean. Not even from a senior Packard. This is all Clipper stuff. But yes, nice price even then.

"A gorgeous '56 Patrician, 42K miles, ready-to-enjoy:
http://nmi.craigslist.org/cto/5212661789.html"

Handsome-looking 1956 Patrician... serious money...but oddly, it has no pushbuttons and has a non-original Clipper radio with Clipper knobs on the radio... and the headliner does not look like a factory type at all.

When the price gets into this category and things have obviously been reworked, it ought to be correct.

It may be "turn key" but it has been customized/modified.

Hi Leeedy

You're right, at that serious money, everything should be correct. Though, if its as good as it looks otherwise, correcting those details shouldn't be reason to dismiss it.

Odd how sellers asking major prices for very nice cars can't be bothered to back them out of the dark garages, photograph the car in good light to show it to the best advantage.

The 50 is described as a Std Eight , not a Super Eight. It looks to be be a Eight DeLuxe to me based on trim, so 288 is right

That Patrician parts car in New Jersey looks like it may have been a factory A/C car originally. Seems like there's a piece of ductwork on the firewall in the engine compartment, and that lower pulley on the engine looks like it could be the A/C version. Anyone else agree?

55,
Agree, the 56 Patrician looks to be a factory air car.
Strange that it looks like clear glass, but it has the Venetian blinds in the back window.

Hi bkazmer

http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/5221589679.html
Thanks to Mr. Neal, I can now better identify some of these obscure models, the black '50 in the photos listed as a Standard 8, the 2382 is the 'standard' trim level of the 23rd Series Super Eight.
Tell tales are the longer front clip to accommodate the 127" wb, the three, thick upper grille bars and the chrome extension to the side of the taillight housing plus the two vertical bars cast into the taillight lens. There are interior differences too but can't recall those just now.

A couple of '41 110's:
Sedan, stored 30 years, no photos:
