Replying to Bryan's question from 11/26, by the taillights that is a junior (110-120) car body. The senior (160-180) taillights had larger wrap-around lenses that provided a sidemarker functionality, some twenty-eight years before side marker lights became the law of the land.

Hi

That '54 Clipper Sportster shows up on CL for $5,500 here:
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/5295929486.html

Now, Copart is trying to auction it for $12K, their estimated retail valued listed at the bottom at $38K!

Amazing how some cars get so much more valuable depending upon who is selling them.......

It's a small Packard world with this internet thing.....

The price quoted is 680,000 Russian rubles, at today's exchange that would be $10,240 USD.

The Russian ruble has really fallen recently, my last trip there was three years ago, when it took 23 rubles to buy a US dollar (at the time 24.5 to buy a Cdn dollar}, now it takes 66 rubles to buy a US dollar.

There may be some bargin vintage Volgas and Ladas available on Craigslist Russia!

I have seen these cars, which are close to me. This is where I bought my first Borgward Isabella. They did have a 54 2 dr Clipper complete but disassembled. I am not sure if it part of this group. If anyone needs better pictures let me know. This place is very close to Guntersville where the last 56 Packard was delivered. Maybe one of the cars there is it. Maybe worth a second look, as when I was there last I did not have the Vin written down.
