Anyone notice the reported VN on that 110?
n209327cal That sure looks like the engine number of prewar cars I have seen that have had one of the post-war "factory authorized" replace engines installed in the (see service letters on that). I've just never seen a 6 cyl postwar factory replacement motor.

For anyone interested in that 1940 110 Sedan, here are some additional pictures. As I thought, post was "factory" replacement motor. Not a bad car for a "turn-key" fun car to drive and not worry about.
I was interested, but David convinced me to wait for the car I really want.

Kev, we drove by the Hye Market (Hye, Texas) on our way to scope out the 2016 Texas Packard Meet's site in Kerrville. On the way we noticed the 1936 Packard 120B Touring Coupe is still sitting across the street from the market under cover of an old gas station. The photos were taken a couple of years ago, but the cars still looks the same.
It looks good and complete. A low production body style and a most attractive one too. Interested? (o{}o) Here is the contact info. Sure would like to see someone get this Packard. Hye Market 10261 Hwy 290 Hye, TX 78635 830-868-2300 www.hyemarket.com

Dream car would be a junior rumble seat coupe (120/115/110). But most likely a regular coupe is what I will end up with.
Just waiting for the right car, in the right condition, at the right time and more importantly at the right price to come along. Junior, because I want a smaller wheel base car and don't want the restoration expense of a senior car.

Hi
I haven't seen one of those aftermarket turn and brake lights in years. Walking junkyards year ago I'd see items like that people added to their cars to doll them up or make them look more up-to-date, never thought much about it. We had Western Auto in this western New York area. Anyone recall who sold this type? Steve

JW, do you know what they're asking for the touring coupe?

This is one of those cases where they are going to "restore" the car sometime soon and use it as a prop for their wine business. As far as I know it is not officially for sale, but someone with the right offer might convince them to sell. It has been two years plus since I first spotted it and nothing has been done. So far it has survived well, but it won't get any better as time goes by. A rare and desirable body style and year. Go for it.

It's a 36 and I prefer the 36 120 over other years; I like the dash so much better than the later models, and I like the increased cubic inch over the 35, although the 35 has suicide doors. I sold my 36 120 original business coupe and there are still days that I miss it, if I find the right 36 I might be convinced to buy it.
