That would be all Stude.

The 1957 and 1958 "Packards" were pretty much rebadged Studebakers with just some trim differences. They used Stude engines and Trannys.

Only some of the Hawks (1956?) used Packard running gear.

Hi

Scam alert, this '53 Clipper posted on here:
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/5457612977.html

Shows up in this eBay listing, right down to the pictures, note the gauge stuck in the dash next to the key:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Packard-2-dr-sedan-JR-rat-rod-/231843154583?forcerrptr=true&hash=item35faedca97:g:u3kAAOSwFNZWy3L6&item=231843154583

Here's a real bargain for a good price, great starting place, '54 Clipper Deluxe sedan, even the taillight lens are intact!:

A '54 Patrician, good original:

A '55 Patrician, looks decent, bit pricey:

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Nice 1928 sedan. Not sure if these sedans bring this kinda money.

Nice sedans of that era can bring that kind of money, though as nice as it appears to be I'm not sure that one qualifies for it. I was please as punch to see a '34 1100 twin to mine sell at the Kissimmee auction for $60,000 and another being offered for $55,000. Not that I plan on selling but it's nice to have a benchmark, if for nothing else than for insurance value.

Clearly he's misinformed when he states that car had an MSRP of $6800 when new, more like $2400.

But there was also the all original 1100 in Dallas that was advertised at $34k I think and he had a hard time to get it sold.
