1. This Darrin Packard is not 100% original

2. That your own Packards will someday be modified long after you're dead & gone?

How Many Model A's that are left on the road original? Maybe 30%? They can't maintain Freeway speeds. So are left to side roads.

The other Model A's have been modified for driving, and to the owners tastes.

It's going to happen folks. Yours, Mine, others packards will sooner or later be modified. And only a few handful of museum cars will be left to be original.

My guess is the pre-war Seniors will be left fairly well alone except for touring sedan bodies continuing to be modified into sporty open and closed cars. Pre-war Juniors and all post-war cars are probably most likely to get restomoded. What seems to be missing is a compelling design theme to rally around. Am fascinated with how the '32-34 Ford street rod design has evolved though the decades, the latest efforts being absolutely breathtaking. Am not advocating that Packards get chopped up but it might be interesting to see a pre-war Junior restomod masterpiece realized. Such a car would need to stand above Ford and Chevy... the "Packard" of restomods. Beyond the classic grill leading a severely chopped body not sure how this would be achieved, maybe with an engine or chassis unlike any other in restoland. The Darrin in question, IMHO, is not befitting a Packard restomod.

The shovel nose on a '32 Light Eight would be a great front end to a Packard based Rod.

Joe, I have always been a fan of the Jaguar Mk. II sedans. They are poetry in motion. You are fortunate to be involved with one. Keep up the good work.
