I took a very close look at the engine numbers and the only number cast in the lower passenger side is 383700 and the engine stamped number is F520187. The engine build date "7 21 47" only appears on the drivers side.

Are you sure it's "383700"? Could it be 388700? Or alternatively, maybe mine's 383700 instead of 388700. ...

Eric, Yes it could very well be 388700. The numbers are pretty fuzzy. Have a look. The more I look at it it appears to be 388700.

Well, I don't have a pic and mine are pretty greasy, so it could be either or. Looks like an 8 to me!
