While the execution could be a little tidier, I like the idea in the 526 of sewing a patch over the damaged portion and otherwise preseving the original interior.

I see that now, but when I posted it the guy had no pictures up, so I texted him for pictures and he posted them on CL a half an hour ago.

Hi

A few pre-war models for your consideration:

A '29 626 sedan and parts car:

A '37 120 with an 'interesting' paint, pricey:

A '41 120, presentable condition, good price:

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

A 37 super 8 formal sedan that got "upgraded". You think it really take 496 CI to move it? I really like the dash on the original 35-37 senior cars but this 1 got butchered, why?

A nice 54 packard (for my untrained eyes) but I'm wondering if the owner forgot to add a zero to the price

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the grill on the 1954 Clippers chromed? Other than that, it's not a bad looking car, although I wonder about the color combination.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

The painted grill does stand out as incorrect -- particularly in that bland combination. I would speculate the grill might be in sad shape and paint over filler etc was a lot cheaper than having the grill rechromed.
