It's a pretty good car. Still haven't gotten it totally sorted out yet, but I have more faith in it than I did.

I think that it'll make enough heat at 160*F to keep my happy come wintertime.

Fred is going to have me gutting the new house this weekend. The dumpster showed up this evening. Doors, floors, cabinets - out it goes. Wallboard, too.

Not to fear, she'll be watching her humans slave away.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Got a lead on a 1949 Packard trans with an R11 hooked to the back end of it.

For not a small fortune.

And not with a car attached to it.

That last one is the best part.

Okay, I tried something different this time and I actually seem to have gotten an image to post without having to save it and then attach it. I have to cross the Father of Waters to collect this thing, but it looks like a good idea.

The back looks a little odd. Are you sure it’s Packard?

Girlfriend has a stack of '49 goodies that she's unloading. I kinda doubt, based on that, that it's anything else.

Then again, I haven't been to Mizzoooreh lately.

I appreciate the lead on your 359. I'm interested, but I'm not sure when I can fit in a trip to the Pacific Northwest. But I'm sure that I can think of something.

No rush as it’s still in the car anyway which is not currently accessible.

Wonderful. Maybe we can work something out on getting your trim delivered to you along the way.

While sitting at the left turn signal, an early 50-something Packard tooled through headed the way I was going. Couldn't catch him. It was green and had lots of "patina," which we called "surface rust" when I was a younger fellow. No oil smoke cloud. I missed my turn to Home Depot.

I have only ever seen one other Packard on the road....a 48-50 Deluxe (didn't catch the year) on the freeway near Seattle. I've never seen another one at a show, but then I haven't been to very many of those. I would love to see more, but everyone around here seems to roll with the more common makes.
