Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't a Newport a Chrysler model. I know there was a Packard Balboa concept car -- maybe the "Newport" was a slightly downsized model. Naming options can be such a beach, right?

It is a 1956 Executive hard top with a couple of interesting add-ons: a Caribbean hood and an aftermarket air conditioner in the trunk.

Another brand of aftermarket AC. Don't believe I have come across any other photos of that particular system. Be interesting to know if it was a national, regional or store brand.

Must say that has got to be one of the most unique ways of taking care of the rear seat speaker and one I have not seen before either.
