Just out of curiousity, when was the first introduction of overdrive in US cars? My recollection is Chrysler was first, about 1934 or so with the introduction of the Airflow.

I'd sure like to see the original manual for the OD.

There's lots of incorrect info on that 7th series listing.
The solenoid on the OD is the small type which wasn't introduced until about 1949. No electrically controlled overdrive was available in 1930.

The leather is said to be original, but the grain pattern and finish are incorrect for 1930, it's much more modern "hair cell" grain.

Much on the car shows signs of restoration, we've all seen enough survivors to know the difference. I wrote the seller and told him what I saw, don't know if he changed the listing.

Hi

More Contours galore:

A '51 200, "and the transmission needs some attention. Its not making any strange noises or anything like that and its moves under its own power but you're not going to be going anywhere quick."
Sounds like normal Ultramatic operation to me:

Wow! Assuming that the old girl is mechanically about the same as her interior and exterior...That's one hell of a deal, I do believe. A good comparable Model A Ford would cost more! If I had the room, I'd go look. She might make a great Christmas Present! Ho Ho Ho, Ernie
