Hello Steve: You are picking up on some of the other things we noticed. Can tell you of the three "R" code cars, one is in NJ in the collection of a noted Packard Collector, another is in MD and another was donated to us at the PPG. All have the same interior treatment and data plate numbers in close proximity.

Very coincidentally there is a 1941 120 in the same color combo a short distance from the 1954 Pacific.

1947 super clipper boattail. It doesn't look bad in my untrained eye. Also note the dual carbs. Wondering how much of a difference that makes.
