Hi Steve, Deep pockets yes, but my goodness what a gorgeous vehicle!! Chris

More than twice what a knowledgeable Packard enthusiast would pay. A Sport Phaeton, much more desirable, sold for $156k at Amelia this year, and it was in show condition.

Another Sport Phaeton sold about a year ago in the $40-50k range, in complete un-restored condition.

Interesting West, thanks for the input and perspective. I know so little about the pedigree and value of these cars, as to be dangerous if I was at an auction and HAD deep pockets! One thing I HAVE learned is to do lots of research first and if I was in the market for a higher end Packard, I'd sure be picking the many brains of the veterans on this site, that's for sure! Chris.
