Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

The '46 Clipper sure looks like a very solid car. Maybe one that you can get driving/stopping, then improve a little at a time? Definitely would need an onsite inspection to see what parts are there (and not there) as far as engine, trans, etc.

With the engine out and in pieces, this one may end up being a 'resto-mod with a late model drivetrain.

Wow, that has to be one of the worst "updates" to a Classic Packard, ever. So sad!

This one appears to be a 120, since it looks like it has push-out vent windows. By 1941, ALL 160s had roll-crank vent windows.

I'm sure you're right, West. I can hardly tell the difference between junior & senior car from 1940 on. Which was probably the same for people back in the 40's; the line between the junior & senior Packards faded away.
