Thanks -- glad yall like it, I think it will work out well -Its just over 17 gallons --- I don't have the part number, like was said it was just a universal tank that I bought online, I'll have to check out which site I got it from, but it was $215 plus the parts to make it a side entry and shipping, was less that $250 --- I think it really doesn't matter where you get the tank as long as it will go in the spot -- my original tank was about 24" square and 9" deep so I just looked for a tank with those measurements ---- this one wasn't square but close enough --- but I will get that info to yall Monday as exactly what tank that it is and where it came from, we are out of town so thats all the info I can pull from my feeble mind LOL

That looks like a good candidate for the universal or "adjustable fuel level float" or sender from JC Whitney. $23 and a little work vs a lot more & almost no work if your old one is not serviceable. If anyone gets the universal, use the one for Chrysler - Ford 78-10 ohms and will work nicely in 51-6 cars.

this is the link to the tank that I bought -- works great!! the only problem is the filler neck but is an easy fix if you need a new tank

Got the baby home today!! -- drove it about 20 miles home with no big issues -- my temp gauge just quit working --
scrubbed it down, got all the tree sap and stuff off, still got to get in all the crevices --- but its home!

got the temp gauge to working thanks the Eric --- my next little issue is that I have no brake lights -- i have running lights and blinkers just no brake lights --- i have a good fuse, check the bulbs and they are good then I checked and I have no power to the rear so I'm trying to find the switch that actually turns them on with the brake pedal, not under my dash that I can see -- so i'm stuck for tonight

The brake light switch is a pressure switch that is located where the brake lines are connected to the master cylinder. That switch may have gone bad, or the connections there are loose or dirty.
