Well not sure how creative you are expecting, but progress none the less, LOL.

So tonight was spent looking for parts to keep the "fitting" process on track. It was actually like Christmas morning again. The project has been apart for over 10 years maybe more. I have owned the car for 8 years and one of my car buddies is ribbing me to finish it. He wants to drive it!

A few more pics of the body being fitted to the new wood frame this weekend. I found some more items to help with the measuring process. How many holes can you put in a wooden frame? Once the woodwork is finished, we move on to the bodywork.

Rust isn't too bad. I just have some repairs to redo from a bad 1980s restoration.

I am going to need to order a new wiring harness in the next couple of months. Any words of wisdom or caution on such??

We are working hard to keep everything original and to AACA standards. Not sure it will have a chance at AACA, but a good yardstick none the less..

BTW I need to thank Ben Lewis for the photo work. It has been a lifesaver on the documentation and sometimes just for plain memories of what we did last.

Ok looking for two items, Fine thread screw for the door hinges and the seat shaft and gears to keep the front seat track synchronized.

I have run into a problem with the undercut screws that hold the lower hinges in place on my convertible. I can fine the screws in the right size, but course not fine thread. Throwing out the life line! Any help out there?

My front seat tracks are missing the shaft with two gears that runs between them. Any help on that as well will be appreciated!

The wood frame getting a good coat of finish for protection. Work has now moved to the body. Currently working on building movable jigs to mount the rear portion of the body for repairs and painting. More photos later.

Would consider the R11 if I hadn't already rebuilt the current trans.

A few more photos of the body ready for stripping and metal work.

Phil,

It was nice to meet you and your friend today. After you left I worked on some parts and came across a starter key, I am wondering if this one is actually a 36 and the one I sold you was a 35. Maybe someone here can look at these pictures and ascertain if this one is correct or not. It also has the wiper vacuum switch attached to it. Also you had mentioned that you were needing some odd screws for your door hinges. Could these possibly be what you are looking for? They are 5/16-24 fine thread modified flat heads 1 inch long?
