Hello

the bottom one is in my 53 Packard, I purchased the top one which appears a little different. Is the top one Packard? It has a spring clip mine does not and the allen holes are not threaded. I saw one with clip out of a Cadillac, is the top one a Cadillac switch?

Ken

The one with the screws are someone's attempt to repair a switch with damaged or missing retaining clips. The top photo is correct as far as the bezel but I don't have an intact switch to know what the retaining clips to door panel look like -- or how many there should be.

If the bezel will slide in and the clips securely hold the switch to the door panel -- or rather the inner metal piece surrounding the opening, then it is a correct assy.

Out of curiosity, do you know what happened or where the short was that caused yours to go up in flames.
