Need a distributor driven gear. Converting to Mopar electronics.

FWIW, after some bad experiences with Pertronix, I'm converting some Packard V8 distributors to the old-but-reliable Mopar electronic modules.

The end result will cost more than a Pertronix, but I'm rebuilding the distributors also.

In going through one of the distributors, the drive gear hole and shaft were wallowed out egg-shaped. I've welded up the shaft hole and re-drilled it. However, whomever buggered it up originally also chipped a tooth on the driven gear.

Anyone have a junk distributor with a good driven gear?

Both. Autolites are easier, because Mopar used the later Prestolite version. Nearly a bolt-on, if one has the correct Mopar internals.

The Delco requires a bit more fabrication.

The gears are the same on either version.

LOL. Of course u're joking. But just in case u're serious be absolutely sure to mount the control module to the INSIDE of the car as in the interior of the car to protect it from moisture and engine heat.
