I need to replace the seal kit on my 55 400 are there any
Diagrams or instructions available about this procedure possibly in the service manual

The 55 400 should have the Bendix system and if so, there is a description on how to disassemble and change seals starting on page 24 in section 16 Suspension and Steering of the 55-6 Service Manual. If you don't have a written manual you can download that section from the Shop and Training manual category on the literature page.

The control valve portion is covered in the manual and in addition here is a bulletin on the correct order of seal assembly for the Bendix power cylinder.

In 55 junior cars usually had the single piece Monroe system and seniors the Bendix but on the chance a Monroe unit is in your 400, that is also covered in the service manual. Best to not go by the book in this case but visually check which system you have before ordering parts.
