I was looking at the old Service Letters and noticed the bonnet name plate.
packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/SC/SL-VOL12NO9.pdf And then saw this on E-bay, ebay.com/itm/PACKARD-EMBLEM-PACKARD-SCRI ... Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr Are they the same? Does anyone have them on their cars?

There was a previous thread on these and they were determined that they came out mid 1938. Some people put them on sidemount spares to spruce them up and on the back trunks of some other cars so people would know what car was ahead of them.

Kind of interesting that Packard was doing this in 1938. The public did not recognize a Packard?
The chicken or the egg comes to mind. The letter indicates that this emblem was being put on cars, so did it already exist or was it made just for this reason? Reminds me of the Packard script that was put on 56 Clippers.
