Does anyone have or know where I can get a J6065 Front Load Arm Holding tool?

or you can use HD chain and GR8 bolts:
1956packardpanther.com/Panther/adjLinks.html Shows both. I wouldn't use allthread because I don't think it is strong enough. Craig

Hotrod........the chain variation that Craig mentions is how I accomplished the job. The chain's links frankly can be a PITA but it is possible. I have since purchased an exact copy of the tool for the next 55-56 Packard I restore.

There is actually a problem with the J6065 tool. It does NOT grab enough of the frame to actually hold the torque arm securely. In retrospect, I wouldn't use one.

Riki, I sure would appreciate it if you could trace the bar and send it to me. Or, if you have one already made, how much would you take for it?

J6065 was reproduced in several campaigns by Bob Berg, but his last run some years back was his last. Nevertheless many of the 55/56 Packard folks I know have two of them so it shouldn't be too hard to find someone in TX to loan you one. Check with your local PAC region members for a start. I've used the Berg repro tool quite a few times, it works just fine.
