any ideas what a letter "A" code could represent after the serial number ?

i have identified the other codes and they agree with the options the car has
cannot guess what the letter A stands for
after the s/n 1807 on my 56 ship card

the car has a gold plated hood ornament and gold front and rear vees
not sure they are original.

did not see a ship card in your references so here is one i bought off of ebay
for my car.

The "A" following the vehicle number (not the serial number) denotes the car was built according to the original order; "B" is a car re-ordered once; "C" twice, etc.

Thank You for the explanation, that puzzle is solved for me.
