cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955-Packard-Cli ... s&hash=item2a2ea9c115#ht_775wt_1167 Surely this is at the top of the drive train-rarity heap? Wonder if it has TL?

Some of the yellow painted notations suggest that is poor thing has been "rode hard and put away wet" as my grandfather used to say.

Jim, according to the seller, those notations detail what's good on the car AND what's NOT good.
I'd have to go back and re-read the ad, but I think at least one other engine comes with the car...

Constellation - Torsion Level, Panama - Conventional
Being owned by an engineer indicates Torsion Level. I worked on one that was bought new and owned by a nuclear scientist. He loved the TL. He took better care and so it was nice. Too bad this one was stored so poorly.

With the additional engines involved, I always ask myself what failed? In fantasy land I would love to do an autimotive autopsy if sorts. What can the original engine tell us?
This only needing one of everything to restore Clipper could one day be very nice car. The money on this car seems strong too given the general market.

Bid up to $2200 for this car. The transmission and clutch should be worth that. It really doesn't look that far gone. Hope someone restores it instead of parting it out.
