They look like senior packard gauges to me.

I believe a gauge with - + and "BATTERY" shown below is what he's looking for.

That's the one! Would you like to sell it? The one on Ebay was a Senior gauge. There is a full set of gauges for a 42 for sale for under $40 that would probably work, but I'd have to pull it apart. Plus maybe someone with a 41 or 42 car could use them.

David,
I have a 38 Junior ammeter/fuel gauge, fit and function of the assembly is same as the 39, but the graphics are slightly different; if all you need is the internal movement, I believe they are identical and can be removed. I'll send photo as soon as I can...having trouble with my camera. FYI: I bought a 50 Hudson Commodore 6 this week! Need your mechanic and those manuals! Pat

David,
I do not have the gauges shown, I merely posted a picture of what I thought you were looking for, in the hope it would generate further discussion. Below is a link to the site that shows other '39 gauge pictures, and a source I've used for gauge repair. If you find a gauge that meets fit and function, but doesn't have the correct faceplate, Bobsspeedometer could always silkscreen the correct graphics on the face plate. Pat - let's talk. In the meanwhile check out Faxon's website. They have lots of good prices on Hudson as well as Packard books.

David,
Here is a photo of the 38 Jr. ammeter/fuel gauge. Note the word Gas (38) vs. Gasoline (39) is actually printed on the removable gauge as opposed to the glass. Seat adjustment rod photo yet to come. Pat

Interesting difference! I can still use it by changing out the glass. I'd probably like to just buy the whole unit (gas/amp/housing) if you're open to that.
Thanks!
