The did. Or at least they were supposed to. Great clips by the way! Fitting since I watched a re-run of "L.A. Confidential" last night.

Can't tell the year or model, but it is a Packard. I love a good mystery - especially when I think I can solve it. The Packard that's camping (in post #53) is clearly a 4-door sedan, and a gravel guard on the rear door suggests a 400/Patrician. Two different P/Ns are shown for those gravel guards: one for 51-52 and another for 53. If you zoom in, you can see that the side molding forward of that is located high on the body and ends on the front door, which suggests 51-52. Also, it looks like there's only three louvres (bottle-openers) on that side, spaced close together and all on the rear fender, which suggests this is a 51.

The trunk handle on the Patrician is peculiar to 51 - giveaway.

Hi
Now, there's something you don't see everyday in PackardinSnow2: A 1931 840 or 845 Waterhouse convertible victoria in the snow! At first look I thought Dietrich but on examination, it lacks the over-the-cowl moulding at the windshield frame and has the more angular moulding where it dips for the top well. All I know is, if I've had the bucks then to afford that most desirable of Packards, I wouldn't have driven it in the wintertime! A nice 826 sedan with a good heater would have been just fine for the cold season. Anyone recognize where those license plates were issued? Steve

I think the plates are issued in Norway. The A stands for Oslo, the capital of Norway and the CD Corps Diplomaticue (an foreign embassy or consulate). If not Norway, it might possibly be a Swedish car with plates issued for Stockholm. Tom
