1938 Packard 5 window coupe
#1
Good day,
I stumbled on a 1938 Packard coupe with a title the car looks as it has been sitting in a barn, The car looks to be solid but is missing the bumpers and front seat. If I can get directions I will try to attach pictures of the car. I am wondering what this car is worth, I would like to be taken for a ride in the car not the seller.

Best Regards,
Tad

Looks like a 6. It looks solid and would make an excellent car to restore. Parts are not a big issue and it would be a fun car to own. Better grab it before some street rodder takes a fancy to it.

I agree with Clipper47. If the price isn't outrageous and the motor turns over it's a winner. It even has the donut pusher up front.

If it were me I think I would buy it if it is as solid and rust free as it appears and is relatively complete.

Tad,

Looks good in the pictures, I'd say snap it up. If the body is in good order it would be a great basis for a restoration project.

Here in Australia these cars are very hard to find. I'm currently looking for one so if you don't go ahead with it, please remember me.

As I'd be able to get to the US in August to inspect the car if it's still available then, could you tell me approximately whereabouts in the US it's located?

Thanks
Mal - 38's are great(see my '38 in the owner registry)

Mel,
You certainly appear to more serious about finding this particular model of car than I am, I have emailed you my pictures of the car as well as the sellers information.
I beleive the car is located in OHIO in the Dayton area.
I would act fast, this car is posted on a very busy hotrodders website.

Best Regards,
Tad

Tad,

Thanks for the info on the '38 and also the photos. I have emailed the owner about gaining more info about the car and the logistics of what would be an international operation of sorts. There is still a long way to go in the process but I am hopeful it will all work out.

Again many thanks, as the availability of Packards in Australia is much more limited than in the USA.

I am sure your selfless act will be rewarded.

Mal
