Hello Troy:
OK, let's see what we have here: 1) Totally incorrect two-tone paint 2) Totally incorrect interior 3) Engine has not run in 10 years 4) Assume all other items (brakes, electrical) have not been touched in 10 years Now look here: nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1941/Packard ... 900-Deluxe/2-Door-Club-Coupe/Values Even "Low Retail" requires "This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. The exterior paint, trim and interior would show normal wear, needing only minor reconditioning" and this car is far from that. Your offer of $6,000 sounds a little rich for me given you don't even know if it will run and stop. Tell the seller to get it running and stopping and that you will get back to him then. My 2 cents.

6K was a fair offer for the buyer and seller, they must think they have a Darrin here or something

I don't usually participate in this type of discussion, but this time....35K is appalling. Even 6K is on the high side for a car that hasn't run in 10 years, has a horrible interior, desperately needs expensive dash plastic, completely unknown mechanicals, and a paint job that you'd have to love to live with.
Even if you were to buy it for 6K, I would suggest you realize how deep a bucket of money you will need to get it back on the road... That said, with such an offensive asking price, I wouldn't worry about someone else buying it. Good luck.

Hi Troy
Compared to the other '41 110 Special sedans that turn up for sale with some frequency on CL, this one is badly over-priced for its condition. The sellers have no hope of achieving anything like what they're asking. Talking sense to them will be like talking to the wall. Only time and market reality will change their minds.....give it time....if you still want it later they'll come around after reality sets in. Steve
