Hi
Thanks for the nice photos, you are lucky to have an interesting variety of cars show up at the cruise, more than just the usual muscle cars, rods, new cars. Handsome '53 Convertible, looks elegant in maroon with black interior. I note usual white towels on the seats. As nice as it looks, black leather interior is torture to set on when its been in the sunshine for any length of time. Of those Nashs, the yellow and bronze convertible sedan could be a 1932 early series 990 or late series 1090 or 1080 or '33 1190 or 1180 dependent upon specs, I would guess the last. The 990, 1090 and 1190 are CCCA Classics. The big blue and silver is definitely a '33 Ambassador Eight 1197 Brougham, 142"wb, 322 ci Twin-Ignition, nine-main straight eight, the CCCA Classic Nash. Interesting, rare cars! Steve

One more Nash - this one was hot-rodded. And Al and I - the only two Packards there, as usual.

All I can say about the Nash:"WHY?"
Aren't there enough ford's & chevies to screw up?

The Nash hot rod looks remarkably like one done here in NJ, owned by a Mark Steinhardt - could there possibly be two the same? Seems unlikely, perhaps he had moved.
In any case whenever I saw it, I cringed thinking what a rare car it once was - and now just a POS, a desecration of a rare and fine automobile. Not even worthy of taking a photograph!

Hi Dave
Take a "glass-half-full" approach toward that Nash convertible sedan rod: if the next owner can source an original chassis and powertrain, at least most of expensive body and chrome work is already done......! When the Nash is properly restored..... Then, he can stuff that leftover new powertrain into somewhere it belongs.....like a fiberglass replica-rod.....and retail it to someone with more money than taste or brains. Steve

Owner has all original parts for the Nash and can convert it back if he wants to. Why he did it is beyond me?

The Nash is done while not stock is nearly so and the owner has others that are stock its his wild side and his money. When its running not loud or nasty sounding. We were at another cruise on Sunday this nice truck was there as anyone who has seen old trucks at the end of useful life will admire this one. In addition to the nice cars and trucks at the Sunday event Randy and I each had a milk shake which helped to keep us cool and happy another great day with old cars and friends. A good fourth of July week end.
