Windwings for Su8 Convertibles

I've been looking over factory photos of 18th series cars and I find that certain popular publications have either mislabeled 120's as 160's or the photos themselves were mislabeled.

Given the number of fakes floating around I've considered costing the conversion for the wind wings. I don't find body swapping particularly problematic other than were I given the choice I would rather have the 120 anyway. Especially if it is a low mileage original.

Presently none of the clubs are enforcing this authenticity issue, but a kit might be a worthwhile venture.

So how much are people willing to pay for the correct wind wings I wonder?

I can assure they built very limited quantities of Su8 convertibles. I've personally only seen two real ones in original condition and one photo of a genuine unrestored 160 convertible sedan.

I don't recall from the earlier threads here on the wing windows if anyone has found a serial number indicating when a complete transition was made. Wonder just how many of the early 160s had the push out windows before they went to the crank type and how many of those cars now suspect as fake are actually early production. IIRC there were a couple of light colored ebay 160s under discussion recently -- one with cranks and one without -- where the wing windows were the main topic.
