Yes Tim it is a sad story, but when some of the doors are held on with bolts and square nuts and the paint is so bad that it is impossible to prep with the doors and hood- the doors must come off.

Sorry I'm late to this party, but the rivets for the shutters from Hirsch are the same as the door rivets. A washer is used on one side as a thrust surface when used on the doors. And to the best of my knowledge I've never seen anything but black on the inside of a 34 hood. Old restorations not included...

Highlander160; The extra grill rivets that I have are not the same as the hood door rivet. Head is smaller and body step is larger. I contacted all the Packard parts people with out success. But thanks for the input. Dell
